... and I'm so excited...

Like me on Facebook, and I'll let you know what is going on this year....

My life has had some big changes this last year... See below... But this also means that Halloween changed too...

This year I'm going to try some thing diffrent and host the Squeaky Hinges Haunted Garage at my new Hign School... Check out the flier...

It's also going to cost $5:00, but it's a fund raiser for our SkillsUSA club... so it's going to a good cause... We will be open at 4:00 and we will be hosting a safe trick-or-treat for the kids. You will be able to walk around campus and get candy at statuons infrount of each class room... maybe a few games, cotume contest, and other fun stuff... and the $5.00 will help our students pay for thier SkillsUSA fees...

please consider coming.

Wohoooo... 2015 was a wild ride... Here is a recap: last Saturday 69 ToT, last Monday 86 ToT, Friday 134 ToT, and Halloween 361... Wohoooo 650... So way more than last year and a new goal for next year. We also collected over 270 cans of food AND $134.79 in Cash donations, all for the Second Harvest Food Bank. THANK YOU ALL ......

and now a update on what has changed in my life...

I have decided to do something different and leave Xilinx. Tuesday Aug 2 was my last day. I've gone and become a High School teacher... Crazy Right? But it's an opportunity I just could not pass up. I have always loved teaching, and teaching High School has always been noodling around in my mind. After 25 years... the time was right. I will be helping them create a new class on Cyber Security. I don't really know that much about Cyber Security, but class started Aug 17 and they have not asked me to leave... Ha Ha...

Next year we are going to create some straight Electrical Engineering classes, and start a Mechatronics program... That is more my style, so it was a busy summer, and probably will be for the next 2-3 summers too.

It's been a good and wild run at Xilinx... but this next adventure should be fun too

What about the Haunt? What is it like?

I provide a fun free neighborhood haunt but I also collect canned food for the local 2nd Harvest food bank. I'm doing that again this year... So Please bring a few cans of food or consider making a donation.

Check out the 2012 YouTube Video.

The haunt is Kid friendly… and while I do make it dark, with lots of black lights, a few strobe lights, and lots of scary skeletons and stuff, I would consider it appropriate for all ages.

I can "set" it to be more or less scary depending on the ages and desires of the group going through… There are a few "actors" in the haunt this yeart, but nothing will actually grab you… and like I said, I ask the kids if they want to be scared, and trigger the "startles" appropriately…
